WE ARE BACK!
PSU Colorado is very pleased to announce we are back to hosting in-person events and activities!
To kick off getting back together, our first event will be our annual Picnic and Student Send-Off event!
As our first in-person event, we felt we'd take a more cautious approach and leave the grassy acres of Washington Park and move to a more controlled food and beverage experience for our annual picnic. As such, we will be heading to one of the most popular up-and-coming event venues in Denver's historic River North (RiNo) arts district on the idyllic patio of the Ironton Distillery. Join us on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 11am to 3pm. Yes, we'll be getting together on Sunday this year!
We will have the Distillery serving up a main course as well as appetizers, sides and dessert, including Creamery ice cream (see below for more info).
The picnic is free for dues-paying PSU Colorado Members as well as current PSU students and their families. Remember, your membership covers your entire household. If you are single, one of your guests is covered at the household rate. Otherwise, non-member cost is $20 per person (yes, it's just easier to become a Member). And yes, children under age 21 are allowed, just specify the number in your party when asked during the RSVP process.
Penn State Creamery Ice Cream:
Historically, we have offered attendees of the event to purchase Penn State Berkery Creamy ice cream at a discount bulk rate through PSU Colorado. And this year will be no different! When you RSVP for the picnic, you will have a chance to order ice cream. The deadline to order ice cream is August 3, 2021, so get your RSVPs and orders in early!In addition, we will also be serving up Creamery ice cream for dessert for everyone.
2021 Scholarship Awarding:
In addition, we'll be awarding the winner of our student Scholarship for the 2021/2021 academic year.
